So in the last few weeks I inherited a gimp. HE arrived in the back of a red van looking scared with only a bag full of clothes and an odour of cheese about him.
With only a small amount of arse kicking and only a little help Smiler has managed to get himself:-

A CBT (not quite full license but 1/3rd the way there)
A Bike and loads of bits to go with it.
Not 1 but 2 jobs!!!

As we speak he is on his first shift at his new job, and you know what?
Im actually very fucking proud of him. Moving 200 miles from home with no job to go to and not knowing anyone down here is a big thing!

Congrats sammyfag!

I'm proud of him too, He needed a chance and as always, give BCF a nudge and BCF will supply, Despite a few nobbers I find the forum to be full of good people.

Nice one Sammy and Fisty, let me know when the wedding is.

Don't know you Mr Fisty, but have spent some time with Smiler at the BBQ and sharing the car home from there. If anyone deserved a break its Smiler, he's a good guy.

I'm dead chuffed (and impressed) that things are turning out so well for him. And much credit due to you Fisty for enabling him to make such a big change, so he can prove to himself and others what he is capable of. Thumbs Up

PS. What's a phog?

Kinda restores your faith in human nature.
I don't know either of you but Mr Fisty - good on you for giving Smiler a chance and Smiler - that takes some guts to do what you did!
Really cheered me up after a particularly shit few days! Smile

He helped build my BBQ and that is still standing. Should be good enough practice for him to work on an old brit bike.

Does anyone remember what an arse Fisty was when he joined BCF? It just takes a bit of time for them to mature. Still time for Cansa yet.

I don't remember being an arse. But thank you anyway.

It may well be poor memory on my behalf and it may well have been someone else but I seem to remember you, as an apprentice, telling me how to weld and/or spray and/or polish. My apologies if it wasn't you but lets be fair, you must have been young and therefore a twat.

You've really got me thinking who it was now. Definitely some Northern oik who went to work in a bike shop

I'm not northern and I never worked in a bike shop. I have no idea how to spray and my welding is only probably to 10 thou at best.

Methinks you have the wrong person.
