Bought this last night.
'99 with just under 18K, it's only done 700 miles in the last 4 years. 9 Months MOT & 3 Months Tax.
Paid £1050 for it. Wasn't sure about the colour scheme but it grew on me when I saw it in the flesh. Incredibly smooth, but that's coming from an ER6 which tend to be a bit vibey.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Great deal Thumbs Up

Does it have OEM tail light or the NSR250 like? 2 round lights.

EDIT: I mean this: https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v371/DaggerBoi/PGMRIDERONIT.jpg

Yeah, it is an odd looking TL isn't it? I wasn't sure about the colour scheme, then I saw it in the flesh, it's difficult to ride with a stiffy.

Err pass, know very little right now, I'll give it a proper going over in the garage tomorrow. It's filthy and I need to check it over fully.

It's got the OEM lights then. Apart from a Micron exhaust, it appears totally standard.

So now you need white and green leathers? :p

If it's in good nick it should be smoother than an ER6, as it has four cylinders over two so the power doesn't fluctuate as much. ie. You get four power strokes per revolution rather than two.

You can protect the head light with foil, but be careful the only legal colour of the foil in the EU is clean transparent and yellow transparent. No blue, pink, green, dark and so on crap. Thumbs Up

You would assume so, unknown as yet. I did all the checks before buying to make sure it wasn't a write off, if it has been down the road, there is no evidence anywhere that I can see currently.

Although chinky fairings =/= down the road, its pretty much the only reason for de-valuing a bike.

I wouldn't care personally. Laughing

Just been and had another look, chain is way slack, wheel is all the way forward so it should adjust ok. He did mention he'd just done the rear brake pads, I reckon he didn't adjust the wheel properly afterwards.

A mate who has a similar year blade, looked all over it. He said that the engine was smoother than his, his has a flat spot which mine doesn't.

Also, if you look at the rearsets, there is a bracket on them, which pushes them back and down. Which is probably why I found it so comfortable, as the riding position change isn't quite so dramatic. Tank fill to tank fill it did 38mpg with all types of riding, incredibly impressed. Managed to get up to Boxhill, but it had started to rain and was dark so didn't bother with a pic there!

On the list, chain was just adjusted and it was at the wear marker.
