@ paddy
im not sure that your answers are correct but perhaps i should have made This clear.
these bikes were available at the time to buy brand new in either 11kw or FP form from the Aprilia dealers.
its not a case of " if done properly " - the people who make the bike at the factory would have " done it properly " when they assembled the thing! - its not like Maria would have a choice of which carb or exhaust she fancied putting on at the assembly station in the Aprilia factory.
i am talking about how these bikes came from the factory - not what someone has done to an 11kw bike to make it de-restricted.
the bike iv bought is MINT, its as it came out the factory. its had nothing changed on it at all and so i want to know if its really the FP version AS ASSEMBLED BY APRILIA IN THE FACTORY.
it doesnt have the arrow exhaust, that wasnt fitted by aprilia but available for owners to fit to both 11kw and FP versions after they had bought the bike.
@iain - you seem to know about these bikes.
would it be true to say that on the 2006 onwards ( series 3 bikes ) they ALL had ALL the components - the Raid device needed on earlier bikes was incorporated into the 2006+ cdi ... and it was a case of just connecting up the pv components to make an 11kw bike perform as the FP does?
i just wanna know that mine was an FP version from Aprilia. not an 11kw turned into a FP.
the bike has been bought and put away under a blanket in the garage - it wont come out until spring time and only on dry weekends. keeping it mint and maybe one day the nice ones like this will become sought after like the mint rs250s are today.
@ paddy - reason i asked on the forum is that there ARE a few folks on here that have / had rs125s and are very knowledgable intimitaley about them - its just getting their attention and asking them for their help.
but at same time make it clear im not interested hearing from folks that really have no clue about these bikes and the engineering in them and just say what they ve heard.
The bike in question :-

Got the chassis number handy?
Inbox it to me & I'll run it through the EPC at work. It will might flag as FP or 11KW.
They were definately made as 11kw or FP, spoken to the boss - we were an official Piaggio Group dealer back in 2007 and he says you had the choice of ordering an FP bike or a restricted model from Aprilia.
He seems to think that there is a possibility that on the logbook it would mention FP somewhere in the bikes model.
Powervalve would not have been present, nor would the RAVE unit, nor would the solenoid. The full power version has all the parts mentioned, the 11kw has a powevalve blanking plate & none of the related gubbins. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

Attempted to run it but no joy unfourtunately.
I can tell you that it was made in Italy, that it is a 2007 bike and a four digit serial number but that's about it.
If I were you I'd call 0115 921 6668 and speak to them. It's the number for Ultimate Parts/Aprilia yorkshire - what Martin doesnt know about Aprilia isn't worth knowing & he's helped me out massively with all sorts of bits & advice in my time working in the bike trade. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
