Does seem particularly calm so far this winter - not even been much rain in the south west
Suppose that will mean January will bring armageddon or something.. |

We had a decent summer, mostly very mild autumn and now December is more like spring. I bet those people who put their bikes away in storage two months ago are wishing they hadn't
Extremely rare to get consistent mildness in December like we've been having. Not even been needing my thermal inner gloves, far less muffs. ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

Last year was the same though, it was pretty mild up until the middle of January and everybody was writing the predicted cold winter off, Then it was freezing for the rest of January, February, March and most of April. ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

I reckon people expect the cold weather too soon, thanks to the general hype of Decemeber = christmas = snow etc.
Winter doesn't actually start until December 21st, and it then continues until March 21st. Hence it's usually far colder between January and February! |

You believe weather forecasts? They can't even accurately predict 6 hours ahead.
Please tell me you don't read the horoscopes too?

Only got caught out by the weather once this summer - I use the BBC Weather website all the time. Headed out to Squires one night with Fifteen15 and we got absolutely satched. I looked up at the sky before and should've taken a cue from that - it looked evil, and was obviously going to slash it down within an hour or two. Instead though I went back upstairs and checked the BBC - said it wouldn't kick off 'til midnight.
But almost every other time they've got it correct for 24-48 hours. Having said that, the storm that knocked the village's electricity out for 36 hours last week went largely unpredicted iirc. ____________________ "Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent."

You need to go faster.
Problem is with my gear during the town part of my journey I am sweating like a paedophile in a playground, but I have to have it all on, because once I get to the motorway I start shivering after 10 minutes if I forget something. ____________________ Currently Riding: MT-07 Previous: XJ 600 N |

Fair point I guess.
What a shitty paper - either weather, old age ilness', Royal pettyness, TV soaps, (the articles of which are treated as real life), or right wing nonsense. What a load of crap it is. I still can't convince my Old Man to stop buying it....it seems old people become dependent on it somehow When I get hold of it I cross "Express" out and scrawl "Der Stuermer" in its place. ____________________ Space Is Deep
