Why do people never notice when they look like other people?

But I do! There are at least a hundred people in Somerset who have the same facial features that I do, same hairline, same ears and same head-shape too. Interestingly (well I think it's interesting) I've noticed that the same facial features are common in parts of western France - which makes sense because my parents and grandparents on one side of the family come from a coastal port town. What does it mean? It means they are almost certainly related to me. How many distant relations have you walked past in the street without noticing?
