Hello all Very Happy

So i got took off my bike by a drunk driver in march 2012 Sad i dislocated and shattered my hip socket i have been out of work since

Im just wondering how long should it take for my solicitor to get an interim payment ?

Im thinking i should of been paid something by now, i have asked my solicitor to get me an interim payment many times and every time he says he will do that, i have loads of letters saying he requested an inerim payment but ive never heard anything else about it Sad

I never even recieved the damages for my bike only £200

Any one know what i should do now because this is a load of bullshit

Thanks for reading

Perhaps you should consider changing solicitor?

My accident in Feb 2008 against a hit and run/drunk driver, it took till early January 2009 to get a £3000 interim payment, then again they provided the same 6 months after. Case was settled June 2010. Some take a while, but sounds like they are dragging their feet, overpriced wankers. Laughing

In the first instance you should complain directly to your solicitor about the poor service you have received.

Once liability is established and it's obviously going to be a long time before resolution, you should be getting an interim payment. I got £5k along with the pre accident value of my bike after about a month. The rest came a fair while later.

I received interim payments before the insurance company had even admitted liability.

Sounds like the solicitors you're using are a bit crap! Unless they've got a good reason for why they've been unable to get you interim payments then I'd suggest changing solicitors.

If the solicitor dealing with your case is being useless then maybe speak with one of the partners of the company prior to changing solicitors.

Why do solicitors wear neck ties?

It's to keep the Foreskin from covering their eyes.

Call every single day 10am on the dot, email at 12pm requesting an update. It's all I ever did to push my claim along.

They'll soon want the case closed.

It says that you will need a replacement rather than do , I take it that this means in the distant future rather than now. How debilitating are your injuries?
