Carry a bottle of 2T oil. That is it!!

I have done loads of long runs on my 2T. IMHO it is no different to going on a long ride on a 4T other than making sure it always has 2T oil.

Don't know why so many are afraid of riding 2Ts over long distances.

Hi

It should be fine. Carry enough 2 stroke oil, but otherwise just the same as a 4 stroke. Chain lube and tools for basic maintenance (ie, adjusting the chain).

All the best

Keith

Obviously, as with any bike, make sure it's up-to-date enough with servicing.

It's not a massively stressed engine, so should be fine.

I personally would take an extra spark plug, but it's not essential.

As what everyone else has said Thumbs Up

I used to go all over the south east of England with my two-smokes and never had any issues that could be directly related to the engine being a two-smoke.
Only problem I had were my own fault ie not tightening up the chain.

DTR engines are good you will have nothing to worry about as long as the bike is maintained Thumbs Up

People do it on Honda c50's so you will have no problem as long as you pace yourself and don't thrash it. Main thing as others have mentioned is to ensure that it is well maintained. Maybe do a few long runs beforehand to make sure it is up to the job.

The point I was trying to make was you can do it on something that struggles to kick out 4bhp Rolling Eyes

My little H100a has taken me and the wife on 300+ mile trips at 80mpg, flat out at 60mph with no issues apart from severe cramp (She's only a little bike). Solo I would have no issues at all of taking her the length of the country, only having the time to do it. The oil tank holds enough for around 500miles so that maybe something to consider?
