The poll he was MEANT to post but didn't is this one. Please vote to disuade him from this. I will never go on a ride out with him again if he fits those shite tomahawk tyres, even worse if he gets a shit colour.

Please vote with your opinions on them.

Here is his thread:

https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=38514

And these are the tyres he wants:

Which as you can tell are

TOTAL UGLY CRAP GAY COLOURED BOLLOCKS

So please vote whether you think gay coloured tyres are "the best thing since sliced bread" or "gayer than dale winton and george michael in the lingerie section of Alders!!"

I've seen the yellow tyres on a bike, looked like shite, also looked like the rider had an accident with a bucket of road paint.

Don't they fall to bits whilst riding anyway??

Personally, I'm buying the best rubber I can afford for mine when I get it on the road in summer - Metzler Rennsports Mr. Green

I seem to remember a thread not so long ago where someone had a pair of red tomahawk tyres and after about 500 miles the red colour had 'rubbed' off and the tyres were knackered. Don't do it!

Buy some proper tyres you tart! Laughing

Don't look nice and tyres are meant to be crap (everyone says so). Thumbs Down

Get decent rubber, you will not regret it.

Yams,
Who cares what colour they are? No one moans at you and says "Oh your blue bikes look gay!" And I'm sure that ZXR400er won't be dissuaded from buying tomahawk tyres because you refuse to go on a rideout with him!

Right, now thats out of the way.

I have heard bad things about the tread delaminating on these tyres however. There have been a number of cases. Personally I would never trust remoulds on a sportsbike. A cruiser or whatever, fair enough but I wouldn't want dodgy things to happen when I have my knee down on a trackday or I'm pushing on through the twisties. That said, we can only give people advice, and they don't have to listen.

Unless dogma is the new watchword on BCF! Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Laughing Do you know how long yellow tyres will last without getting all dirty, and look crap?

If you don't mind cleaning your tyres every time you go out, go for it. Very Happy Thumbs Up

Why don't you lighten up, stop being so serious, and realise this whole thread is a joke? Eh?

Do you really think I'd never see someone again just because they put a different coloured tyre on their bike? Oh dear Rolling Eyes Laughing

How about this, buy a set of yellows, fit them to some wheels.
Buy a decent set of tyres and buy some wheels off ebay. Then if I'm going out just to tart (alot then Razz), swap them. Razz I REALLY want them. Neutral

They are cheap remoulds, cost about £2 for them to make and are really not sticky at all.

To make the most out of the zxr4's excellent handling you want decent grippy tyres like bt090's or gpr207's.
