After picking up my latest bike for £550, which I thought was a fantastic deal, I was wondering what the cheapest fully working bike you'd ever bought was.

Here's mine (not actually my bike in the picture)
1994 Honda CB400SF Project Big One. Wapanese import, absolutely fantastic bike Very Happy

What's yours?

Because it's a superdream; lardy and underpowered by 125 standards, which isn't that great a combination. That and the fact that it was suffused with knackered screws, and had thirty-year-old electrics.

£200

Stood 3 years. Put some fresh fuel in, fired up instantly! Though brakes seized and fuel tank leaks. But wont take much to get back on the road.

Just bought one of those with knackered fairings for £250. Needs rad cap, battery positive lead, and a set of throttle cables.

£550 for the af1, with a 3 month old MOT(dodgy one) as there was a hell of a lot needing fixed.
A lot of time money and effort turned it from this :

To this :

The amount that needed replaced/fixed the bike actually cost me a fair wedge.

I'm yet to buy a bike that doesn't need work to get it on the road.

Bought the trumpet for £700, cost me around 200 to get an MOT on it. Brilliant purchase. Great bike, lovely to ride, easy enough to work on, easy to get parts. She's showing signs of her age now though and is awaiting a strip down to get her purdy and purring again.

Bought the ZX9r from boundy on here for a good price, he'd fallen off it. Can't remember how much it cost to get it back into one piece, but it wasn't much. Then I fell off it. It's still in storage in Ireland. It only needs a couple of parts to get it rolling again, I really should make arrangements to get it home.

I'm genuinely excited about the day I hand over money for a motorbike, get given the keys and ride away.

CB100N cost me £385, but I did swap it for the CB250RS once I passed my test.

Some serious bargains in here. A bandit for £100, what's the catch!?

Cheapest bike I've bought is my Bros 400 in 2010. £330 with what must have been a dodgy MOT. Needed a new battery, brake rebuild all round, carb cleaning and tyres to replace the rock hard ones on it from 1998!

Since then it's needed basic servicing and a couple of valve seals when it started burning loads of oil. That was surprisingly easy to do. I commute on it every day and still love it. Smile

I was given this for free by my local motorcycle mechanic who was doing a shed clearout:
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/front.jpg
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/left.jpg

Some assembly required. About a days work as it turns out. Too it back to him for an MOT the following weekend:
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/onroad.jpg

Pained it and did a few rally on it.
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/paintjob.jpg

Piece of shit and far too expensive. I should have held out for another £20.
