I've been wondering this about my CB125T. It has kph on the outside and mph in smaller print on the inside of the speedo, so I'm assuming the odo is in km.
An easy way to tell is to clock a route on some other vehicle that records miles and do the same on the bike. Should be obvious pretty soon which it is.

Chances are, the main face is in KM/s because 90% of Derbi's are.
If its in miles, then the bike is well overdue a new set of rings as they need replacing at 10,000. If its in kilometers, you'll be coming up to the 10,000 mile pretty soon.
Either way, it wont hurt to replace the rings. The bottom end should be fine for a long time though, wont need a rebuild unless something nasty happens down there.
As Ste said, you'll have to check what the main indicated speed is on your clocks (whats on outside, whats on the inside), then you'll know. ____________________ Aprilia RSV Mille R Edwards Replica - Aprilia RS250 - Suzuki GSXR600 Supersport Race Bike |

Don't rely on the main speedo units to tell you the units for the odomoter. If it's a (grey) import, it might have only had the kph face replaced with a face with mph instead. The best way to tell is simply to make a journey of which you know the length of, 20+ miles to be sure. ____________________ I must not be a troll...
