Hi

Depends what is on there already. Chances are that you would probably get a power gain from a larger carb as well (after all you have increased the engine capacity by 40%, so the chances are the stock carb will now be a touch restrictive).

All the best

Keith

A 19mm carb is fine for an MHR rep kit.

You don't NEED a bigger carb, just it will give you more power, anything around / above 17.5mm works well on a 70cc kit, considering the full race ones only use a 19mm normally.

A 17.5 mm would be horrible with a 70cc kit. That's a Gilera Runner 50's stock carb size and definitely too small for a kit. I'd go for at least a 19mm, preferably a 21mm. Heck, my friend's brother has a 28mm with his 70cc kit on a Motorhispania RX-50, recommended by the manufacturer (though I admit that's gotta be a special case).

considering the whole idea of more cc's is to burn more fuel/air then it will make a hell of a difference.

Personally i would get a 21mm carb, that's what most people with big-bore kits seem to go for.

What tends to happen if you dont have the right size carb it the power dilivery isnt there as quick as it should be.
So you dont need 1 but its better if you do.

Good Luck with it Thumbs Up
