I went to the poundshop and got some of that black - non slip stuff. About a metre roll, cut to shape and that protects my paint ____________________ I'm Sam; Northern, Ginger, Lover

Just throw the sheet of stuff over the bike then put the panniers over the top. Stops them moving about too. You can lay it under your camping mat to stop it sliding about on the groundsheet.
Mrs stinkwheel says it makes riding pillion more comfortable because she doesn't slide about on the seat. Just remember to keep it away from the exhaust.
Whichever oxford panniers you buy, the zip tags will break off after about 18 months and the zips themselves will fail within 3 years of fairly regular use. The zips are not covered in their "lifetime" warranty so it's essentially just a con. Buy whatever is big and cheap, expect to replace it after 3 years. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
