 Posted: 19:49 - 02 Mar 2014 Post subject: Price I shoud expect for a Direct Access scheme/CBT? |
 |
|
I have been looking at a few local training schools to see which one is good quality and has a reasonable price. I have found this school in the Wirral which is about 15 miles from my home. They offer a direct access course with CBT & 6 - 2hr lessons for £400. This seems like a good price to me. Is this what you should expect to pay?
The offer - Direct Access (CBT + 6x 2hr lessons) £400.00 (18hrs)
The link if you want to have a look at the website.

In 1997 the DAS with CBT was £400. If you think about inflation and the way other prices have rocketed since then, you will realise that paying £400 for the same service now - is a good deal.

Thanks for your replies. It's interesting to see what other people have paid. I might be being a bit thick here but from what people have said in their replies it sounds like the cost of the theory, mod 1 and mod 2 should be included in the price? I get the feeling that the £400 is for obviously CBT and training but also for the costs of the tests but I would just have to book them myself? Maybe I'm just reading it wrong? |

^^^ Really, you have to do DAS and the other tests? Since when?
What happened to the one-stop-shop? For peeps over a certain age the DAS (includes everything, bike hire, the works), pass that and you're on the road. No messing. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

[quote="Tyred"]The only reference I can find to MMA is MOTORCYCLE. MANOEUVERING. AREA...
Web sites are a decent indicator of a business but only that. For a business it either lures customers in or puts them off. You will get a much better feeling when you visit and speak with people in my view.

Yeah you're right about that. I'm going down to a few of them on Saturday when I'm home from Uni.
Motorcycle Manouevering Area makes sense as I suppose that makes sense it means that you practice for the Mod 1 on a good quality off road circuit.
