 |
|
I've decided I like the look of jackets with external armour. I like the badass-ness of them (Yes, I'm a tart) - an example is like this:
https://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/images/InitialSet/teknic_supervent_pro_jkt_black_LG.jpg
Annoyingly the company that makes this one have gone out of business.
However, I have hunted high and low over the last couple of days and there just dosen't seem to be any other examples that are either in production, or quite what I'm looking for.
Not bothered if leather or textile as long as its got the protection and willing to import for something amazing. Also, its got to be a jacket, so sticking motocross armour over something else isn't going to do the job.
So, anyone know of any brands or specific jackets that have that badass look? |

The second 'tart' was a laptop malfunction I actually like the look of that jacket. Not sure I would like all that external rubber on my shoulders though. Couldn't the grip cause injuries on impact with the road? |

Haha, well it earned you a place in my sig malfunction or not
Hopefully the grippyness of the shoulders wouldn't be an issue until your sliding slow enough. ____________________ Jonathan A wrote: tart. |

Why don't you just get a normal jacket then place a mesh jacket over the top. Or fix the armor on to the outside of a normal jacket. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

I for some reason picture that just getting torn to shreds in an off being left with just loose swinging armour pieces and threads of what was the mesh combined with blood and sinew ____________________ Current: Honda City Fly CLR125 2003 Honda CB600F Hornet 2008 Yamaha FZ6 S2 + 1991 Kawasaki GPZ500

I really love Icon stuff, but speaking to the Parts Europe rep he's under the impression that nobodys really stocking in the UK.
Their lids are awesome, really well vented & comfy. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

There is far too much homesex in this thread
These jackets look horrendous, like some terrible low budget movie super hero/ ninja outfit
Also, surely having armour on the outside, with lots of edges, would just be prone to being ripped off in the event of a crash making it completely useless? Not to mention you'd look like a nob whilst crashing ____________________ KLX 300r |

TBH it brings to mind all those Batman impersonators from that Dark Knight film
Armour on the outside, looks too confrontational IMO. A nice worn and battered leather jacket, on the other hand... ____________________ Motorsapien Art |
