Nearly as bad as the time I got caught up in a road diversion. Ended up down some little country lanes that I didn't know. Huge tailback of traffic behind me, started riding up some steep hill and then had second thoughts as to whether it was the right way, so attempted a U turn on said hill, lost balance half way round, went to put my right foot down to save the bike, only to discover that due to the steepness of the hill, the ground was a long way away. I'm sure I heard someone shout 'timber'

In my defense though, I'd only been riding a few weeks.

Story unrelated. I was had my bike break down while slowly turning a corner. I went down to first just before I began turning, gave it a smidge of throttle and nothing. started turning regardless, gave it more throttle, still nothing. balance began being lost, revved, nothing, did the 'oh fuck' scramble.

clearly my throttle broke, or my chain snapped, or my kill switch broke. I certainly wasn't in neutral.... honest.... >_>

Pulling on to the forecourt at work last summer, going very slowly between two cars and realised I'd overbalanced, I know I'm going down, the only choice I've got is which way.

The car on the left has just come out of the paint shop, it was an arsehole job in a non standard colour and it's taken three goes to get it matched; so right it is then.

Net result was a busted brake lever, a extremely sore graze on my shin and a gouge on the front wing, where my topbox hit it, all in full view of my work mates.




















Oh, and the car on the right..............................was mine

First time riding my RS125 (with about a week's riding experience beforehand). Didn't realise it needed at least 5k revs to pull off nicely. Came to a stop at a York junction thronged by tourists.

Light changed to green, rev up to 1.5k and try to set off. Bike lurches forward, then loses power, all of this taking me by surprise. Promptly drop bike on the left, those fairings must make a nice amplifier because it caused an almighty bang, only matched in volume by the scream of the shocked woman nearby. I'll never forget that scream

Come close recently - the bight on the kwakker's clutch is much further out than the honda. So after spending a few days on the latter bike then taking the former out - hmmph. Have to be a bit bloody careful on the slow speed crap.
