Apt user name alert. Now, to answer your question. Yes. Yes you have. You've wasted a decently sized pile of cash, as it happens. Which is something you would been told far in advance had you asked advice here.
In fact, there is a prominently placed sticky thread on this very forum (headed "A Duffer's Guide to Getting A Licence + Newbie Biker Links") - where it is noted that "You can pick up a boring and unattractive 125 with tax and mot for about £500 if you're smart and look in the ads." See here:

First ditch the flintlock. Secondly, I ride 125s regularly and am your build. Getting 60 out of them is bloody hard and feels cruel. Hit a headwind and a hill and it's almost impossible without caning fuck out of them. But then, I have what some would probably regard as an excess of mechanical sympathy. That said, such sympathy is not an entirely bad thing if you're going to be riding such small capacity four strokes. Why? Because they crave maintenance - neglect of final drive chain, tyre pressures and oil can all have a quite dramatic effect on performance and handling. Thirdly you will need to break the bike in - which will probably mean keeping it to half revs for the first thou.
| YbrGoon wrote: | But is this a good bike? |
No. Not really. The best that can be said is it's not bad. But basically it's overpriced and underpowered.

Now that you've bought a new one, yes. Yes you will. ____________________ "Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent."
