Had bad experiences with lots of couriers. UPS said they'd left a parcel with a neighbour, they hadn't, and tried to say they were lying. Turned out they'd delivered to completely the wrong person, who they then tried to deliver to again
DHL refused to deliver a parcel as apparently I live in downtown Baghdad, there way of telling me this was to send a letter out 2 weeks later, so had to go and collect the parcel.
DPD didn't show, called up, courier showed up annoyed saying I didn't answer my phone... checked phone (which was on silent) and I indeed had missed a call, funny as I thought couriers were meant to attempt a delivery not just call ahead
Numourous parcels turn up late at all hours, sometimes 2 weeks late with no apology. ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)

Why did you wait a week before chasing them up?
Yodel are the poo'est. Rather than delivering to the front door, they prefer delivering to the back garden by throwing the parcel over the side fence. |

Yodel!?!
They don't deliver to the front door, they deliver to the rear garden by throwing the parcel over the side fence.
I do not buy from anywhere that says they deliver with Yodel or MyHermes. |

I always tend to use sportsbikeshop and use DPD delivery. DPD used to be utter shite but the last few years they have really upped their game with sms notifications and 1 hour delivery time slots. I know that's useless to you now but maybe worth knowing in the future.. ____________________ The why of fry |

I work for a mail order company, and our experience is that largely, quality of service is down to who you happen to have working for your local depot.
Every couple of years we switch to a different courier company in the hope of getting a better service (not happened yet), and whenever we do, we get just as many people saying "OH GOD why are you using <new_courier> THEY'RE SHIT" as we do saying "Brilliant, so glad you changed away from <old_courier> to <new_courier>, they're much better, I'll be placing more orders now!".
If the driver who normally does your route is actually trying to do a decent job, you'll [probably] have a good time. If they don't give a shit, you'll not (and because they're servicing your route, all the deliveries you get from that courier will seem shit!). ____________________ Bike history: YBR125 -> XJ600 |

Dave from DPD is great. He's always calling up to find out when I'll be back and whether Mrs Borg is in to take a delivery.
It's such a great service that ever Mrs B seems to be whistling and smiling all the time these days. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

DPD win.
Royal Mail win.
Parcel Force win.
But the most with is from the delivery driver who's a stoner, I won't name the company that he's from.

No-one meantioned shitty-link yet?
Our guy is terrible. Always delivers damaged/torn/squashed boxes. When I complained to him his reply was "Not my problem.".
Unfortunately for him, it became his problem. I MADE it his problem by instructing our staff that if he delivered anything with damaged outer packaging in future, it was to be opened and inspected before being signed for.
His best one was walking in through the door with a battery for my van, emblazoned with hazard stickers and this way up arrows all over it, upside down on his shoulder. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. We send orders out with TNT and the customer complaints land on my desk
I always thing I won't be surprised again by what has happened but then a TNT employee comes up with a new one
Latest one is sending a "before 12" delivery that was vital to my customer's business show in Brighton to Ireland for the fun of it
The other good one was an item addressed to Birmingham Hilton Hotel, NEC, Birmingham
couldn't find the correct address - he'd tried to deliver it to the NEC who'd refused the delivery making, ironically, a set of flyers for a royal mail conference late! ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.
