the barrel on my Bandit is iffy to say the least - is there much you can do with them or is it just a replacement?

fuel cap an seat lock all use the same key so ideally i dont want to have different keys

ive tried the two keys that come with the bike - both have issues

get another cut, best off from one that isnt quite so worn, it normally faily high up on the list when i get a new bike.

also suzukis tend to have this weird thing when they start to get worn, if you put the key in and push the key towards the clocks while turning they will often turn better in my experiences

You could try graphite powder to lube the barrel...I believe it's what Johnny Locksmith uses for sticky locks.

Just do a search on Ebay...tubes of it for a cupplaquid upwards.....

my yamaha was exactly the same and this method worked for some time but eventually it mostly refused to move..
so

https://i867.photobucket.com/albums/ab232/copycat73/24k%20Service%2014th%20jan%202013/Photo1042_zpsf7e254d4.jpg

I stripped it down as there was very little wear on the keys.. even the red key refused to work and that had only been used once or twice..
it was full of old grease & crud.
the key in the jpg. is inside the lock barrel, the tumblers had worn on the inside and were stickin proud when they should have been flush allowing the lock to turn.
I ground them flush re-assembled, clean & re-greased and so far problem solved.
