All the time.
You don't have to be in a rush to not sit in the queues when you don't need to. ____________________ Nobby the Bastard: How yo tell the difference between the actual japanese and her just screaming because she's had live fish stuck up her arse? Always. I try to justify it with the fact my bike is air-cooled. Sitting around in traffic will surely over-heat it.
I basically live out in the sticks compared to London, still doesn't mean I want to hang around behind cars. ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K

daily, my commute is round the M60, passing the M61, M62/M602 so tis normally busy,
There are some bits that I don't filter / less likely to filter,
I bear in mind the wisdom spoken in Top Gun "It's better to retire and save your aircraft than to push a bad position"
I'm not going to loose out by sitting behind the van that's driving close to the line and wait for a better opportunity to pass. ____________________ Looking to pass your CBT / Bike tests in Bury Lancashire? try www.focusridertraining.co.uk Would recommend.

I filter when there's something to be gained, queuing traffic or when I won't make the lights for example. Rest of the time it's just more risk/pi$$ing off other drivers for no reason. Saying that I am filtering more now than on my 125, as the bikes more stable & I have the power to beat whatever's at the front of the queue ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)

It depends on my mood, the traffic, what's up ahead, where I'm going etc. But I'd say I generally do like to get ahead, and get away from other vehicle users (if safe). ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Every day pretty much. I commute city to city so there is always queues around rush hour. Half my journey of 14 miles is generally filtering.
I'm starting to get a bit too close to things, I get so tempted to run my hand along the trucks as I filter past.
I'm a bit strange I know! ____________________ Current Bikes: ZX7r 97 (Black Beauty), VFR400 NC24 (The banana)

Hardly ever but then I hardly ever ride in rush hour traffic. I've done it 3 times since the start of Feb when I bought my bike, and one of those was to get away from a crazy bint driving one of those spaz pope-mobile things who seemed to want to kill me. |

A month ago I'd have said "only where it makes a significant difference", because I was doing an easy suburban commute, and can't we all share and share alike and so on.
One urban office relocation later, and today I did filter like a right twunt Londoner down massive queues, 'reconfigured' a wing mirror on the way, plonked myself in cycle boxes with aplomb, and gave cheery waves to acknowledge the beeping horns which were doubtless applauding my progress. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
