Any onboard camera laws?

Can the cops seize a onboard camera go pros etc.
If they suspect any antics.
Wheelies speeding etc etc.

However they'd have to witness you doing something first. They could just pull you over and seize it.

It's also debatable as to whether the evidence would actually be admissible in court.

Fit a camera where the average plod won't notice, or think to look for one on your bike. Thumbs Up

I like to 'try' and think of a worst case scenario with things like that. It'd be easy to lose the memory card but you may not get a chance depending how you get pulled.

Also depends where the camera is, if it's poking 6 inches in the air off the top of your lid, it will look pretty suspect if you immediately whip your lid off and faff about in the casing to get the camera/card popped out.

They might not believe that it was off and having just received some phone calls of people mis-behaving on motorcycles, they reckon that my camera is worth looking at as I fit a description of one of the bikes mis-behaving... que me popping it in my mouth in front of them, chewing it up and swallowing it Laughing

If it was inside a car, they'd need a warrant to seize. Don't think they do with a motorbike though....

that's crap so they can just whip it off ya bike.

plus the go pros etc are hardly conspicuous big ugly mounts and stuff
ive got a keychain camera but it only works on a Tuesday with a full moon very unreliable bit a kit.

Ideally, you need some Pivothead wearable cameras, so it doesn't look as on top that you're recording.

If a camera was fixed to the bike they would have to seize the bike or get a warrant, more hassle!

Plus it would not be admissible in court as evidence as there are no type approval documents, at least for speed anyway
