HONDA XR125 - I turn the key and nothing happens

Dear All - I hope you are well. I have a question re my Honda XR 125. I went to start my bike after about two hours of inactivity and it was suddenly dead. The neutral light and headlight do not come on when I turn the key. The battery is charged and connected correctly and I am able to jump start without any problem. Any ideas?

sounds like a main or singular fault. Check the fuse and the main wires you can see and make sure the solenoid and starter,if fitted isnt earthing out .
Then check all the bulb fittings for corrosion and then if still nothing......check the ignition switch and generator coil.

Depending on the wirin of a bike , it can still run with knacked power / charge / lighting coils if it has a seperate spark/genny power coil so if there's no loose wires or dicky ignition switch then check the charging and lighting coils.

Typo.. Bump start not jump start (no leads, just my arms and legs)

take the headlight and surround off and check all connections had the same problem took them off sparayed abit of wd40 and puit them back in started perfect

did you put the sidestand up before attempting to start?

I am sure he is not still attempting to bump start it if it was he would looking like the hulk after trying this long
