Right as a few of u know ive got me moped and ive recently brought a car (mini),
ive decided i want a bike instead of a car after looking at insurance lessons tax ect,
soo my question is this after ive fixed the mini up and sold the old girl, what doo i go for
a 125 2stroke on me cbt then after a 4 0r 5 months take me test
or go straght in and take me test when i turn 17 and spend the money on a sports 400 or 500?
beaing in mind i cant do gears yet hehe,
ive been looking at the NSR125 and the RS and MITO but i also like the look of the RG and a few older 2strokes like the tzr ect, i know the older bikes have a power value system were the exhust moves or somthing but doo the rs and mito ect have one as well?? sorry if ive got tht rong just wht ive heard..
cheers
steve

most modern 2 strokes have powervalves, otherwise they will almost be unrideable

i say go to a 125 after a ped, get used to the gears, dont jump on a 250 with no experience of gears

my opinion Neutral

Personally I would go for the 125. A jump from a 50cc to a 400-500cc would be a huge jump. At least with a 125 you can have decent speeds etc, have cheaper insurance. I am currently considering a TZR125 when I turn 17. Also been looking at RG, NSR etc. I think the TZR can do around 90mph de-restricted. But with a few extra sports parts I'm sure it would go faster. Also take the RD125LC into consideration. An old bike now but still fun and has the ability to embarass a few other 125's. Their only downfall is their top end of around 80mph.
