I'm rebuilding the 848 and basically need a whole new faring set,
i had the prices of an OEM set e-mailed to me, which would cost £1700 + VAT and thats without the padding in them aswell ( although i'd salvage them from my current panels )

Looking on ebay i can get this set for £500

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291108924626?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

https://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff445/Aesop_Ahn/ebayAustralia/DUCATI-1198-1098-848-MATT-B.jpg

quite a difference in price, i'll probably be selling the bike at some point so if anyone has had any experience with these by this company/seller what were they actually like?

if/when someone buys the bike are they likely to notice ? Laughing
i'd obviously ditch the red '848' stickers to the standard ones aswell.

thanks

Ding Dong fairings for my GSXR750Y were superb. 1 hole was ever so slightly too small so a small file = win.

I'd definitely say they are worth a punt!

I've had 2 sets for 2 different bikes in the past few years, when fitting a full set they were perfect

Only issue was trying to fit a full set on a bike but leaving one original body panel in place, they didn't play well together, ended up taking that original part of and replacing that as well. But a full set all lined up and looked spot on

Brill, i know on the sellers page it says 100% colour match ( although it only has to match it's own panels as all are being replaced ) and 100% fit blah blah but i tend to think the more they bang on about stuff like that the less likely it is to do the job Laughing

if there was only a couple of hundred quid in it between OEM and these ones, i'd probably have a long think about it, but the price difference is just mental, you'd think i wanted a full carbon set for that price they want Confused

Check that "sticker" isn't under the lacquer, better off contacting them and getting them to agree not to bother putting it there in the 1st place.

My Auctmarts ones are lacquered.

Valentino Mossy put chink chonks on his Ducati and they look the nuts. I've had a set on a previous bike and I think they're great value for money. Just check the feedback to see if there are any issues with them.

Ive got a set for the R1 sitting in my spare room to fit later in the year - had 'em out the box and the finish is superb, not quite as thick as the OEM ones but 1/4 of the price.

I've heard nothing but good things about these kits.... at the end of the day, they're just plastic and if you crash, they get fucked up, whether you paid £2,000 or £500 for them.

Have to add - make sure you use the heat shield that comes with them.

I bought some "hand made" British fairings "built to order" for a CBR900 last year. They were awful and nothing fitted properly. Additionally, returning them was a pain too, I had to go through the small claims court to get my money back.

I will go Chinese next time.

The set I had were shit, fixings were glued on and broke off instantly. Paintwork had runs in it and hairs in the paint, they were chipped and not even close to fitting.

Assuming they came from Overseas, did you manage to get a refund on them?

Every Ducati one they have sold has positive reviews. They have sold over 10 kits for your bike so not a bad punt.

They came from China, eBay would only refund me if I sent them back via recorded delivery at my expense. As I'd paid by credit card I did a charge back and got the cash back. Not one single panel was useable.

Just do your research first, there's a lot of them kits on ebay and I bet there's a few shit kits on there as well.

Feedback is all you need, if that bloke has sold 10 of them for your bike and all positive feedback, that's a pretty good indication that they're alright.

China to Western countries is big business and a lot of them sellers are usually direct manufacturers in China, selling on ebay.

It's a strange stigma attached to buying something directly from China, like it's going to be piss poor quality and fall to bits. Pretty much every electrical device around you is Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese, etc.

One thing the chinks are pretty good at is copying things, not everything but bike plastics are fairly simple and cheap as chips.

However, I wouldn't buy a Chinese motorcycle Hand
