I'm rebuilding the 848 and basically need a whole new faring set,
i had the prices of an OEM set e-mailed to me, which would cost £1700 + VAT and thats without the padding in them aswell ( although i'd salvage them from my current panels )
Looking on ebay i can get this set for £500

quite a difference in price, i'll probably be selling the bike at some point so if anyone has had any experience with these by this company/seller what were they actually like?
if/when someone buys the bike are they likely to notice ?
i'd obviously ditch the red '848' stickers to the standard ones aswell.
thanks ____________________ 2010 Ducati 848 Dark

Brill, i know on the sellers page it says 100% colour match ( although it only has to match it's own panels as all are being replaced ) and 100% fit blah blah but i tend to think the more they bang on about stuff like that the less likely it is to do the job
if there was only a couple of hundred quid in it between OEM and these ones, i'd probably have a long think about it, but the price difference is just mental, you'd think i wanted a full carbon set for that price they want ____________________ 2010 Ducati 848 Dark

Just do your research first, there's a lot of them kits on ebay and I bet there's a few shit kits on there as well.
Feedback is all you need, if that bloke has sold 10 of them for your bike and all positive feedback, that's a pretty good indication that they're alright.
China to Western countries is big business and a lot of them sellers are usually direct manufacturers in China, selling on ebay.
It's a strange stigma attached to buying something directly from China, like it's going to be piss poor quality and fall to bits. Pretty much every electrical device around you is Chinese/Korean/Taiwanese, etc.
One thing the chinks are pretty good at is copying things, not everything but bike plastics are fairly simple and cheap as chips.
However, I wouldn't buy a Chinese motorcycle |
