I HATE leaving my bike anywhere which means unless I'm on a ride out or there is proper secure parking I don't use my bike. Whenever I go to the cinema, shopping or whatever I end up using public transport and my mates are like 'wtf you have a BIKE!' Lol
Anyone else the same or am I just weird ____________________ Bikes : 2006 CBR125R - 2004 Monster 620ie - 2004 ZX-6R B1H - 2005 Monster S2R 800 - 2011 Street Triple - 2009 Streetfighter 1098 - 2014 ZX-6R 636

I lock it at least around the wheel/swing arm if I leave it anywhere. Before I left it outside my auntie's house in a decent housing estate with the lock on and a disc lock and she said "You don't need those around here, it's safe" Doesn't stop a scrote from the housing estate over the canal which is rough as a badger's arse coming and robbing it does it?
Also being 3rd party only I can't really afford to have it nicked |

I'm the same, only take it somewhere with secure parking or where I can keep an eye on it. Even with my POS 125 I was still nervous about it getting nicked, that was third party only tho. ____________________ Yamaha MT-03 '08 (crashed)

I just take my chances with the bike unless the risk is really high.
I have a bulky chain that I take with me if it's going to be left at risk for a while and try and lock it to something.
It's the type of bike thats going to appeal to the opportunist joyrider type thief, rather then the pro high end export to to Europe type.
Doubt I'd buy an expensive bike for anything other then a weekend toy for the very fact that I wouldn't want to leave it anywhere. It's a sad state of affairs. ____________________ Yamaha FZR400RR 3tj

When I visited CaNsA I spent half the time looking out the window to be sure my bike wasn't being pikied, and the other half staring at his pert nipples. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Sounds right to be uneasy after having my CG stolen and came out of Asda the other week to find my mirror on the seat. Yeah kinda wary now of parking it up. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

I'm very cautious, although it doesn't stop me using it and leaving it places sometimes - unless its somewhere really blatently dodgy and then I would be thinking of a different area
Ideally always look for an anchoring point though even if it adds a couple of minutes walk, use a small tailpack to hold the almax - then put the bikes alarm on, preferably always in a busy area rather than sidestreets etc too. |

No one would steal my bike, reading online I don't think anyone's ever stolen a Suzuki DL 650 V strom ever, I guess to most they're just a boring bike
Saying that, I still am cautious. I was more concerned about someone stealing my CBR125 though, as you could lift it on your own, my DL650 is 220kg wet, my CBR was 120kg. ____________________ 2008 Honda CBR125 (sold) / Suzuki DL 650 V Strom (Current bike)
