So… what's the deal with Outlaws England? Are they simply a group of people who ride together or are they a criminal gang? or are some of them criminals and some just people who enjoy riding in a group.

The reason I ask is because I visit a local biking bar (Road House, Birmingham) and have been down there almost every day for the last week with mates as it's just a nice place to relax and chill out in their outdoor seating. We get to keep a eye on the bikes and have a laugh in an area surrounded by bikers on a daily basis, some of those bikers are Outlaws.

So tonight an outlaw tells me that I should ride with his lot if I want to ride properly? and goes on to say how we'll talk properly next time I see him when i'm not about to leave.
Is this some sort of invitation? I don't want to be involved with any sort of criminal gang but wouldn't mind riding with him if it means I don't have to wear the silly leather jacket and do anything illegal or ever be asked to do anything illegal.

I understand that a lot of these biking clubs do live outside of the law but i've always been told that the UK biking groups aren't anything like the American versions. I've also googled them and there seems to be a few articles highlighting them in a bad light but does anyone actually have real experience of riding with the Outlaws?

Sorry for the long post and naivety but, I honestly have no clue when it comes to these sort of biking clubs and the stuff they get up to. I'm hoping some of the BCF massive can shed some light.

I only know what I've heard, so can't speak from experience but, if it's true, (and I've no reason to believe otherwise) I'd be looking for somewhere else to hang out tbh. But, I guess it depends on what floats your boat.

TBH from what you say if you were invited to 'hang around' (which is the first process before prospecting and then getting your patch) you would soon be told to fuck off as you really don't have a clue of what the backpatch scene is all about.

Best just to say no thanks and leave it at that.

Yes, <south-park-fag-meme.gif>, but it's not a joke and the local constabulary will take an interest in you if you're seen wearing a patch or riding in their company.

This is not speculation, and if the thought of that doesn't thrill you, don't get involved in any way.

Wearing a patch has got nothing to do with riding. If you want to go on ride outs, check out your local MCC, note, MCC.

You may get asked to hang around. That's a stage where you basically hang around with the club socially you see what they are about and they see what you are about. If they like you after a while they may ask you to prospect. It's just hanging around you won't really witness club business, definitely won't be privy to it and can walk anytime you want without anyone really caring.

MC's are not criminal gangs. That said it would be stupid to say they don't often contain criminal members but they also contain lots of members who are not criminals. More involved than an MCC though that patch you earn you will be expected to defend should the need arise. That said forget TV shit like Sons of Anarchy and other bollocks on TV these guys are not going round blowing each other up or gunning each other down all over the place (least in the UK).

Why not give hanging round a go? You already frequent their bars so I'm guessing you have something in common. Get to know them if you don't like what you see then walk, if you do and they do then maybe go further. You lose nothing either way but gain some interesting life experience.

Without going into too much detail, the 1%ers are most definitely real criminal gang, who will do ANYTHING for a brother, I know one and he's spoken to me about it in great details.


I asked about what they think about other patch wearers who ride for fun and are not territorial (middle aged men in a fun club) and they're not bothered, but mention anything about the hells angels and they are a genuine enemy, if seen in their area, an attack will happen.

Lots of smaller patches are linked to the main ones and are classed as friends of the (can't remember what they called it)

but yeah I was as skeptical about it as you until I sat down with one.

My advice, stay the hell away from them. If they have any association with the Outlaws of the US they are not to be trusted. Choose your friends wisely.
