Well, he has no right to return. Is address your current one? Don't answer door when he comes back/send friend to door, get him to state he doesn't know who the guy he is looking for is. Wink

This one's probably going to come down to how much damage he could do to you on your doorstep. Right is technically on your side but that's of little comfort when you're picking your teeth up off the floor.

How is the address on the log book?

Didn't you just give him the new keepers bit?

Tell him to fill it with oil and ride it back, and then ring the police and have them waiting for him when he arrives.

Or tell him to fuck off.

Depending on how you want to handle it, you could try "I feel threatened by this, I'm reporting this whole situation to the police".

Pissing oil?

From where?

odds are he's binned it and cracked the engine casing.

Haha, rode home with no insurance or license? And he then has the audacity to complain?

Link him to this thread, then ignore.

This is my guess.

You can also tell him that if he comes to the address on the V5 you will report him for driving with no license/insurance.

Tell him you sold the bike to pay someone their money back and don't have the cash anymore, also say no problem with bike on test ride, leave it at that, if he goes round house/makes threats then police

You don't want the bike back as he's probably wrecked it

Now if only you were in a 1% club as discussed in the other thread, you could get him to meet you at the clubhouse for a refund Laughing

"The bike was sold as seen. Please do not contact me again."

Don't enter into any further dialogue.

This is why I instantly block the contact details of anyone to whom I sell a vehicle. Why would I want to hear from them again, ever?

I'd say "just block/ignore him now", but you clearly love the drama so that's not going to happen, is it?

So troll him into making an actual threatening communication, go down the cop shop and pass it on to them. Don't threaten to do it, actually do it.

Then block/ignore.

As above, you don't want it back. Just reply 'sold as seen', and leave it at that.

There's a lesson here. Speak to any buyer on the phone first and if they sound like a moron, it's not worth the hassle. If it's priced right, it will sell anyway.

What part of your plan stops him slashing your car tyres, bricking your house/car windows or worse.. a few months down the line? The police will do fuck all.

OP went full retard for selling to a dodgy guy with no license or insurance.. Things you should check when selling a bike more so giving a stranger a test ride!

Never go full retard.

Once its sold - its dodgy guys problem, text threats or not.

Meh, tell him to come round and 'tell it to your mates' - the responses will probably be going viral and earning you thousands on social media within a week anyway Laughing

Realistically though - G's reponse is probably a safe bet, threatening electronic commications are like genocide these days.
