Went to my local lexmoto dealer the other day to try a few cheap bikes.
And found the ZSX.. I've never found a bike more suited to my height, both feet on the ground its just the first half of my feet, but the correct way, one foot I can get it down perfect, it sat nice between my legs and felt just right in weight.
Lovely dash with its LCD screen and rev meter, lots of shiney parts to add for extra cc
Anyway I know some of you will be abusive towards me getting a Chinese bike, but I haven't found a single bad review, its apparently reviewed better than the CBF but I don't have the source link. The dealer seemed very keen on the quality of the bike also, but aren't they all?
Looking on getting a loan from my bank for £1625 to get the bike in full ____________________ Motorcycle riding can be really cozy. If you want to be a little closer to your passenger, brake a little quicker for the next stop. |

Can you not just save that money? £1500 isn't an awful lot. Reviews seem ok, but how long has the bike been out and how many winters have they tried surviving.
inb4 £1600 is big bike and test money |

Not that hard to find the reviews.
MCN review vs CBF.
MCN review.
Twistngo review. Concludes "for a basic commuting tool, save money and buy the Street".
If you're borrowing, do your sums.
A CBF125 can be had for £390 down + 36 x £66.05 for a total of £2767. The YBR comes in at £2.10 per month more for the same deposit.
You're paying more overall, but you get a 2 year warranty, and consider what the Lexmoto will be worth by the time you've paid it off.
Your call. I wouldn't pay that much for a Chinese branded commuter, and I certainly wouldn't borrow to do so. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Relatively, but not in absolute terms. I reckon a new ZSX should lose about as much as a new CBF or YBR over the first 2 years. A really budget Vixen or Street will lose less because they come in at just over £900 to start with, and any running T&T'd 125 is going to sell for about £500 minimum if you're not desperate to shift it.
If you're buying with cash then you've also got less to save up to begin with - it's not a completely crazy proposition. Borrowing to buy though... no thanks.
However, an equivalent £1600 (or £900) worth of used CBF or YBR should work out best of all, unless you buy a complete Victor Devine of a bike. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

LCD/digital dash doesn't mean shit, bicycles have them! Unless it's a proper decent multifunction unit like on the KTM Dukes. Stuff like this and those hop-up parts are just 'makeup' used by Chinese manufacturers to pull the wool over your eyes.
Not a bike I'd get into debt for. Lots of good 2nd hand bikes out there, start practicing your bike appraisal skills now by getting out and checking them out! ____________________ Motorsapien Art |

OMG guys, you're not going to believe this, but....

I bought one of these a few weeks ago, have only done 110 miles on it so far but I love it.
Have got it on 2 year finance because I finance everything lol might not be the most financially sensible option but I've had a finance payment coming out for a vehicle prob since I was about 19 (30 now), its just another bill these days
I figure if I can keep it serviced and looking good for 2 years I'll be able to get £900 - £1k for it, which will then act as the deposit for a big bike or cover a DAS course. I'm in no rush to go up to my full licence though, just enjoying being on 2 wheels |

If you want it, get it. It's a nice looking bike, and... some people... have made far worse choices.
Biking isn't the most rational of pursuits to begin with, so you may as well follow your heart, chase those dreams, soar with the eagles... ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
