At an educated guess 87-89. My friends bought these new in that period when I had my ER.

Is it a "off-road only" one?

If so some of them are stolen. Although with the lights all there, looks like it could be all legit, if it has logbook / numbers.

I had one, although I'd never ride one on the road... The brakes are shocking. Old drum brakes.

87-89 wow a lot older than I thought.
The seller has been using it as a field bike but he has got the number plate and logbook. And it's been bored out to an 80cc.
Could I put disk brakes on there instead? This will be my first road bike, I can't wait to get it.

Presumably you're over seventeen and the dvla have been informed about the 80cc engine.

2000..

Unless someone has changed the swinging arm. As 2000 is the only one with a box section swinging arm.
There is also a 80cc version of the bike.

Ts 50 History Thumbs Up

If its been on a field, chances are they've ragged the hell out of the bike and been on fields hitting bumps etc, sometimes the bearings are shot from it. Especially if been going up and down curbs and riding it around the local council estate. Rolling Eyes

Personally I'd just go straight for a bike with 12 months MOT. Saves a lot of hassle than having one that could need a lot of work to pass.

Also, if the logbook is there, it'd tell you the year. Thumbs Up

As for 80CC kits, some of them are pants and just cause more problems than gains.

Thanks iooi.
Boxing, my dad said that to me today, I never thought about that though.
I want to get a bike that has got a bit of work doing to it, just cleaning, and if it needs a few parts. I havn't got enough money to tax, mot, insure or take my cbt yet but I just want to get a bike first so I can make it look really nice and have it how i want it when the time comes to get it on the road. So spares or repairs is best for me, unless there is something wrong with the engine.
I like cleaning up bikes for some reason.

I only have £350 at the moment (I know not much) and that suzuki is £300 should I pass it up?
