 |

so im limited to A2 bikes. and originally there was not much option to choose from. so i was thinking cbr500 from the new 2013 range by honda, but it is a little pricey and i would prefer something older (5 or 6 years). (saving money, and less likely to depreciate in value).
ive looked between the 500 range and the kawasaki er6 range. but i was wondering if there was any more bikes to choose from.
my style of bike would be sporty... but i do like the look of certain naked bikes.
so apart from the officially listed bikes... ive looked around at bikes that should fit into the category! but is this acceptable say if you get pulled over.
one of the bikes that has caught my eye is the gsx60f. they look nice and are cheaper than the cbr500. something like the following.... https://www.motorcyclenews.com/mcn/bikes-for-sale/searchresults/detail/suzuki/gsx650f/2009/_/R-NXGN-7615971 |

Sure, why not? It's a Bandit in a frock, and there are more Bandits on the road in the UK than any other bike. Nothing wrong with them except for being a bit lardy.
Thought of an SV650S with fairing lowers? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

I looked at both the SV and the GSX (amongst others) when I was looking to buy my current bike. I'd suggest going and sitting on both of them and if possible taking them for a ride.
I found that the SV was a lot lighter, seemed easier to filter with as it was a lot narrower and had a more aggressive riding position.
I found that the GSX was bigger, more imposing, I far far preferred the engine to the SV and I felt a lot more planted/stable. I also found the riding position more comfortable. Having test rode both it was a no brainier for me and I bought the GSX in a heartbeat - it just felt like a bigger, nicer and more expensive/better put together bike. What I would say is that it's a heavy bike. That doesn't worry me but it puts a lot of people off so it's definitely worth having a play with first to see if you could live with it.
Both are good bike though, very reliable and parts are plentiful. I don't think that your going to go far wrong with either, they just cater for different markets.
Good luck with your search and let us know what you find
Oh - this is my GSX
