Hi Guys, ive been working on a CBR 125 fuel injected model and can not sort the main problem.

It starts and runs well, but if i do not keep revving the engine it will die. it will tick over then the revs go up and it dies.

It does have an after market stainless exhaust fitted.

Any ideas??

Cheers.

Fuelling !

need a dyno run or at least a Wide band fuel air meter and a good test run then Power commander to sort fueling for the exhaust

Thanks. With that said, would it make sense to fit a standard pipe?

Yes. There's not much to gain, power wise, from tricking out a 4T 125 with an exhaust and new FI controller so it'd be cheaper to return to a standard pipe and take it from there.

If it then doesn't run properly you might have another issue. If you start pissing about with power commanders, etc. you're gonna spend huge amounts of £££ and, if there's an underlying issue, it still won't run right.

So to date I have changed the injector, the fuel pump and now put a standard exhaust on it, but the problem persists.

When I first start it, it starts straight away and then ticks over, but only for 5-10 secs then it dies. It does restart but not as easy. Once running I need to keep the revs up or it dies. If I try riding it it's sluggish and then dies. If I slip the clutch it runs a bit longer but with little power.

The FI light throughout is not on.

Any ideas?

Cheers Guys.
