Job done! Theory/Mod1/Mod2 all sorted :)

Just a quick update to say after getting my arse in gear a month ago thats me sorted everything out.

Theory passed 1st May (49 out of 50)
Mod 1 passed 11th May (2 minors)
Mod 2 passed 14th May (4 minors)

Off to Saltire in Edinburgh on Saturday to trade in the CBR125 for the SV650 then the rear learner starts. Thought I was an ok car driver till I got my 125. Thought I was an ok learner rider till I got proper bike lessons

Went in today and test rode the SV and the Yam Xj6 Div F and prefered the Yam so we change there but getting it tomorrow so all is well

Well done. You had a real bastard of a time with that honda from Victor Devine so enjoy the new machine. You should send a picture of you on it to VDs with the proper hand signals for indicating what we think of them.

Are you going to stick a " Damn right I didnt buy this bike from Victor Devine" sticker on the new bike as well

I made the mistake of slathering my XJ6n's exhaust with ACF50 as well. Basically just burns off and smells like a 130mph barBQ. Youl find the front mud gaurd extender actually does more good at protecting your down pipes, I wish I had put one on when I firstt got the bike rather than six months later. I would recomend the Evotech tail tidy as well.

I did the same as you and tried a few 600s and an SV650 but the XJ just fits. Comfy, smooth, well built handles nicely. i've noticed you never see cruddy looking older ones either, they seem to age well.
