Hello,

I just bought a 2007 Suzuki GS500. When i apply the rear brake, the brake light comes on. However, when i apply the front brake, the brake light does not come on.

Any suggestions as to why this may occur?

Thanks for your help!!

As above.
Check micro switch on brake lever.
If disconnect wires you can short to test light comes on.
That would eliminate any breaks in the loom.
Replacement switch if required can be had from the likes of WeMoto or eBay.

Which switch on the brake lever are you talking about? I'm completely new to bikes.

Thanks!

If you look at the brake lever.
On the underside is a little black box. That is the micro switch.
Should have 2 wires going to it and held in place with a screw.
If you gently squeeze the level you should hear a faint click. That the switch switching.
