Ever since i changed the tyres to pilot road 3s the bikes been feeling a bit weird during corners, i dont know if it's to do with the tread pattern on the pilot roads flexing more under load? has anyone experienced something similar with pilot roads?

Have you made sure tyre pressure is right?
Have you checked there isn't a different recommend pressure for the pilots on your bike?

I would check simple stuff like that first.

How new are the tyres? Do they still need scrubbing in?

New rubber may have highlighted a head bearing problem you didn't notice because of square tyres.

Set pressures to standard i will have a look at the head bearing, and the tyres have done about 1000 miles now, im just not enjoying riding the bike, no confidence just doesn't feel as planted as it should, feels like you dance round a corner even when there's not alot of lean angle.

Wobbly, or just leans and unleans much easier? Could be the fact that the tyres are much rounder than you're used to. Or it could highlight a wheel bearing or head bearing problem

Possibly bearings. Do you have centre stand or paddock stands? If so, check the wheel bearings by getting wheel up in the air and rocking from side to side... shouldn't be any play or knocking. If there is that's your answer.

If there isn't, check head bearing by moving the bars when the front wheel is on the ground... again, play or knocking indicates bad news.

What pressures are you running exactly?

What bike is it?

Quick search reveals those pressures to be on the high side. Fine if you're a big lad or carrying a pillion.

Checked those bearings yet? I'd include wheel bearings.
If fine then check compression and rebound settings, check the tyre has been put on the right way...longshot.

Then I'd try lowering the pressures a couple of psi.

Those tyres pressures are quite high and will make the bike feel nervous when leant over.
When i had PR3's i ran them at 33F 31R (Cold)

I've given you a starting point for a person weighing 10.5 stone.

Have you checked that the tyre rotation arrows are pointing in the right direction?
Had that before, although the fitter noticed it before the wheel went back in!

Aye might be worth checking tires are seated correctly and maybe they need a balance not that I'd expect them to need balancing but worth a check if you've done the rotation and bearings check.

When you say "dance around a corner" do you mean it's twitchy, jumpy, as in going up and down? Because if so that sounds more like a suspension issue rather than either a tyre or head race problem. So have you lost any fork oil? You surely would have noticed - yet from your description of the symptoms I'm still thinking suspension.

Meh.

I run both my Hornet and my Ducati M900 at 36F 42R and have no problems. The Hornet has PR3s and is rock steady at that pressure.

I'd be looking at suspension and head/wheel/swingarm bearings.

This probably sounds a bit stupid, could it simply be that the new tyres are new and have no squareness? I found my bike a bit twitchy after a tyre change (I checked all the bearings etc), but got used to it eventually.
