PostPosted: 13:35 - 17 Jun 2014    Post subject: Another Eurojolly 2014 - Weekend Hacks Reply with quote

As many people have expressed an interest in Euro tips, I'm doing another one in September.

This time, it's a weekend, out very late Friday night Sept 5th, returning evening Sunday 7th.

Suitable bikes will be whatever you got, i'm planning on transalp or NTV, no massive mileages but holding 70mph is a must.
It's not a race, rides will be for fun and getting places rather than see who can stick it in a ditch first.

If you want to come, book the eurotunnel for 00:21 on Saturday 06 September 2014.
Return tunnel at 18:36 on Sunday 07 September 2014. return cost £32

Book hotel below for Friday 5th and saturday 6th Sept at (leaving the 7th)

hotelF1 Boulogne sur Mer
19 rue Pierre Martin
Parc d'Activités de l'Inquétrie
62280 SAINT MARTIN BOULOGNE
FRANCE

https://www.hotelf1.com/gb/hotel-2263-formule-1-hotelf1-boulogne-sur-mer/index.shtml

£30.89 for 2 nights or £38.37 including buffet breakfast.

The plan is.
Meet at Ashford services just off the M20 on Friday night at 9:30pm. People can of course meet on route but ultimately, ashford at 9:30pm.

Go to tesco the next junction down for supplies, getting them in France at midnight won't be happening.

Get to the tunnel for 11:00pm

Out at 00:21, arrive 01:56 french time, 30 mins to boulogne and the hotel.

Sat, Breakfast, ride out, afternoon in boulogne and whatever else we can come up with, back to hotel for the night

Sunday, breakfast, head to calais, free time in calais and cite europe shopping centre, at tunnel for 5pm, leave 18:36, back in UK 18:11 and head home, or wherever.

Before anyone asks, the reason we go on 00:21 is, if we go out at 9pm friday, the price doubles, if we go 9am sat, people have to leave home at 5am to get to the tunnel and we have reduced time in France on Sat.

List of peoples.

Those in Orange are/might be joining from the battlefields trip from the few days prior.

Go on then... maybe.

Have to see how funds are as theres a fair few other bits going on between now and then - but dates wise looks clear at the moment.

Will look to share rooms if I do make it too so that'll knock the cost down for me and another person if anyones interested potentially?

I will hopefully be able to do this. As I won't need to take any holiday from work there doesn't seem any reason not to go especially as the whole thing will cost about £60 plus food/fuel Thumbs Up

I'm in, haven't actually read the above, because I'm busy and important. If satanic rituals are involved then I've totally done myself over! As for her, I'll ask her.

Think the price went up because there were no smaller rooms left.

What vaccinations do I need?

Anyone going from Hampshire area?

All rooms are a mirror image of all other rooms in all the other f1 hotels throughout france and beyond.

Mine is 48 euros pay for breakfast at the hotel. £32 for return tunnel.
