Hello all.

Been on L-plates nearly a year, looking to take my full licence end of July - beginning of August. I've heard good things about Bikewize in north Cheam, from a mate & a few online reviews etc & they are local too. Looking at taking their 4-day course for £539.

Any BCF'ers here had any recent experience with them? Quality of instruction, facilities, bikes etc that'd you care to share? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers.

Well I got 0 faults for both mods lol.

Another reason as well they let me film it so others can see what's involved

Did mine with bikewize back in March. The instructor was nice, but he seemed more interested in going for a ride, than really teaching/showing us stuff. The facilities were erm... interesting, Mod 1 practice was in a car park and an industrial estate, bikes were fairly old & shabby too (well they had one nice Bandit).

I did pass first time with them but you get what you pay for, they're one of the cheaper training schools. Another thing's they're extremely disorganised, not just my experience but other people on here who have booked with them.

Cheers for the extra insight mate. To be fair i'm more concerned with the standard of tuition, I understand you get what you pay for with equipment & bikes etc. I'm hoping a years experience on a wobbly CBF125 throughout that f'n rainy winter will have prepared me a little at least for any unforseen adversity in that respect! Though i'll probably be woefully mistaken eh.

Either way i'll report back with a de-briefing for you..!

I did a GetOn ride with Phoenix back in February and they were excellent.

Since turning 24 last Saturday I decided to go for it and do my DAS through them, and I cannot recommend them enough so far.

Passed my Mod 1 on Monday and have my Mod 2 on Friday. Robin and Stuart are both great instructors - although the price is a little more expensive than elsewhere I would say it is well worth it.

Personal Experience from here https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?p=3810801#3810801

If it was CBT, I'd probably advise against BikeWize (personal experience). However, had one 2 hour lesson for Mod 2 preparation before doing my restricted on my own. Really good guy, oldish guy on a Silver FZ1 or something, went really well covered everything and felt quite confident.

My reason for advising against CBT, 1 instructor to four of us (the car park bit anyway), 2 crashed, 1 almost totalled a scooter after riding into a tree at speed. Therefore 50% got through to road ride. Cheap is cheap at the end of the day.

I called the Croydon office, but I think the site is actually closer to Addington.

Yeah It's more New Addington. you'll do it in a school car park type thing.

I also did my MOD 1 practice at the test centre in Mitcham as well

Sounds good. If the Ewell guys are anything to go by you will have a great experience. Good luck!

I did Mod 1 at Mitcham on Monday and my Mod 2 is tomorrow morning, also at Mitcham.
