I'm wanting to increase the amount of lighting compared with the standard set up on my ZZR600,

Would popping a higher rated bulb in be the easy way without needing to upgrade any thing else?

What are my other options?

Want to keep costs and modifications down

P.S Set a good two hours aside to do it because changing the bulb on these is a nightmare... unless you have tiny hands don't even try using the acess panel, just pull the front fairing to bits!

At risk of sounding dim, can you post a link or the spec I should be looking for?

Is it a specific motorbike one or..?

It's a standard H4 60/55w like you'd find in most cars, think I paid about a tenner for one on ebay.

There are the better output bulbs above which should be fine. But watch out for higher wattage bulbs. On a bike that new they are illegal (from memory, anything post 1985 they are illegal for), plus they draw more current (which can melt the wiring) and produce more heat (which can melt the headlight).

All the best

So for the ZZR does it have to be H4 60/55w ?

What does the H4 part refer to, can it be a different H number?

I presume the 60 is the draw on full beam and the 55 the draw on regular?

H4 is the bulb fitting, no other H number will fit and no other H number will give you both low and high beam in 1 bulb... And you do need 60/55...
