I use a topbox once every blue moon, and my last one broke. So I made one out of an old toolbox... It looks shite but it works well.
Something like this would be the cheapest solution, only about £35 off eBay.

Although I would go with a battered 2nd hand Givi box over a new cheap one anyday. |

I'm not sure a 52l will be enough for all that, my NTV had a top box, it was enough to fit my Belstaff summer jacket and helmet, or my trousers and jacket but not much more.
The armour inserts into jackets and trousers make them non bendy and foldy.
If you could roll your trousers and jacket it would fit but you can't and of course you can't roll a helmet or boots.
I think you should get an armour shirt and separate knee armour, and wear them under your normal gear so your normal gear can be rolled up and the armour pads be stuffed inside other things.
I don't wear bike specific boots now, I wear boots which you can double up as riding and work boots. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I have tried commuting before in work clothes and boots although it is doable when it rains it is shit having to walk around all day soggy knowing it could have been avoided for £30.
I seen a 52L on a CG once it looked ridiculous. Let's not forget my bike is 125cc.
In the past I have used a bike cover to keep things tucked away. In Leeds I see this being an issue.
A top box is required doesn't really matter to me how gay it is going to look I have a tinted visor.

Well its a Honda and they will have a helmet lock on the seat, they all do, or every one I've had will do.
Maybe some side paniers? I've got a pair of Nonfango side paniers which you will need to make a rack for though, but if you can weld its no problem to make one. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Go large. 56L Scootor topbox hold 2 helmet.
I linked to the cheapest one, although you could get a more expensive one as you'll doubtless claim that it never arrived anyway and get it refunded.
Cheapest solution would be to throat punch your new boss and move on to the next job-of-the-week though. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

How much is it going to cost me to relieve you of the panniers? Yes I can weld to a fashion I bought a mig welder for my sprocket.

Pointless. Even the expensive ones I could rip open with my bare hands I have fitted an alarm to my varadero which will discourage a passing opportunistic. |

It's narrower than your bars, and you have a bigger surface area. It might reduce your mpg slightly, but not that I've noticed on my GS.
I should note that I keep my anchor chain in a tail bag on the pillion seat though, not in the box.
It might look a little derp on the 125 Dearo, but since you'll be fully licensed up soon anyway and onto the litre version you'll be able to swap it over.
