What sort of things do you think should have been invented or that already exist that could be made so much better. Ideas on anything you can think of and knowing you lot ill get some suggestions out of the ordinary

Not so much a problem for men but an "instaloo" would be great. It should fold up to pocket size, be self cleaning, never run out of loo roll and always be as fresh as a daisy. Impossible I know but I can always dream. Tried a she-wee and ended up weeing down my leg - not nice, then again a nettled bum is not pleasant either.

Just one idea, but cabling trailers that automatically pay out the cable as it's pulled/winched in, to save man power and possible injury of being close to heaving cabling drums and the risk of getting caught/whipped by snagged cables?

Not an invention as such but...

Shared accommodation for single mums. Once they're all crammed in together they can look after each others kids while the others go out to work. Might discourage the "single" mums from sneakily moving in a boyfriend too.

Photo-voltaic roofs tiles and wall coverings, (cheap) so that all new housing must have them and can generate their own electricity (need storage cells for nigthtime use). also available for re-roofing existing properties.

Nuclear power and electrification of everything that can be electrified. Clean environment for all, because no particulate matter in the environment, particularly from combustion engines. Has to happen at some point anyway and we most certainly have the tech to do it already.

(Not looking for this to spiral into a nuclear power debate - it's just my opinion)

Oh and it would be nice to have more free public toilets in public-funded places e.g. railway and tube stations. Not really an invention, but it's a 'thing' that we should obviously have more of, in my opinion.

Bimble solar had some cheap solar panels for sale (seconds or something) that were designed to link together to work as a waterproof roof, more for sheds and so on.
However, solar isn't that simple. Having storage batteries in the house isn't sensible or realistic as far as costs or 'saving the environment' goes - however, feeding the power back to the grid so others can use it probably does make sense.

I've never liked the idea of having solar panels on my roof to feed back into the grid and supply other peoples KW's.

I think if I were to have solar power, I'd want to be as off grid as possible and keep every last once of power I generate to myself. I understand it's not cost viable, but this add/subtract from the grid system that having solar power operates on, seems to me like you get all the downsides of having heavy complex roof mounted technology and few of the benefits, other than some cash off your bills when conditions are favourable.
