Will a CG balance on the centrestand, sans wheelage?
I would assume if both wheels weigh roughly the same, it should be OK?
I need to get the wheels trued up, unfortunately there is only 1 little old man who seems to do spokes in the entirity of Tyne and Wear...
I would assume hes not gonna remove and de-tyre the wheels for me (also making the assumption the tyres need to be removed).
my bike will be stored out the back, ground anchored.
Suggestions?
TL:DR How balance CG no wheels? ____________________ The above post is most likely nonsensical.

Bricks under the fork legs, and swing arm.
There done.
Or hang the bike from beams of your garage roof. Or using a corner.
A LONG time ago a BCFer used two windows which were on a corner of his home, he put a plank of wood between the two windows and hung his bike from it. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. Shouldn't need to remove tyres, I'd have thought - unless you need new spokes anyway.
Possible it could even be done still on the bike, but expect they'd prefer to be given wheels.
Stuff under each end and you should be fine.
Don't let it rock too much on the centre stand without wheels as may fold up. Or just do that intentionally and place it on the ground . |

Interesting, will give the fella a ring tomorrow and see whats what.
I would happily pay him more if I didn't have the bother and could just ride there and have him sort it ...that will not be my opening line of course ____________________ The above post is most likely nonsensical.
