They daren't haven't let it be shown outside Scottishland but I did come across The Telegraph's blow by blow account.
Apparently the NO vote, re: Alistair Darling, came out ahead as Salmond was a tad flustered when asked direct questions (the impertinence, asking a direct question, enough to start a revolt). ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

FTFY.
Salmond is OK on the offensive, being a pretty good <trollface.png>, but he's not really got any substance to back up independence, beyond emotions and oil.
Looks like it's all over for the "Aye, Oot" campaign now. 95% decided, 55 no /45 yes at best. A wet day and apathy is their best hope now. Barring that, it's all about the post mortem, and finding ways to call foul on the result for the next 25 years. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Why would they pay any attention to it now?
The same question has been raised time and time again in the press, time and time again he's given the same useless answers but the 'vote yes' camp have just believed every word Salmond comes out with.
It's amusing that Salmond was the one going on about wanting a debate about the independence referendum but he turns up without any answers to what many people consider to be the important question(s).
His attempts to use the threat of not taking Scotchlands share of the deficit is also amusing cos it shows how little research he's done as the cost of that debt is far less than the risk for the BoE to enter into a currency union.
Whatever the outcome of the vote, it'll still drag on for years cos if it's a yes vote then there'll be loads of democratic haggling and other such bollocks whilst if it's a no vote then Salmond will baww his eyes out and come up with conspiracy theories and other such bollocks.
The whole thing is such a waste of time and money.
I wonder if any of the vote yes camp will comment in this thread. |

I actually only just found out that night the debate was next door to my work, didn't care. I know people in England are sick of hearing people in Scotland talk about independence but trust me we hate it far more up here. It comes up at least once on a night out, in work meetings or just walking down the street.
There's an easy way to tell who is a Yes vote in scotland, they tell you and will tell you why you should be one.
I reckon Scotland will become independent one day, just not now. The SNP have totally cocked up the campaign by not answering questions, if they had a plan B for the currency, gave specific details about how things will happen like what will happen to my car insurance, what would happen to my passport, my drivers license.
I've lived in a lot of places but in Glasgow there's always the feeling it gets ignored in favor Edinburgh, they started work on a rail link to the airport in Glasgow but had to cancel it as they ran out of money blowing it all on the trams, they are trying to make Edinburgh and Prestwick airport better than Glasgow by subsiding them with tax payers money.
I see stickers all over Glasgow saying "End London Rule", I'd rather have London rule over Edinburgh rule. ____________________ Current Bikes RVF400 - 94

Hi
Suspect there is a fair chance that whatever the outcome it will be the end of Salmond. In the event of a No vote his main policy is dead (at least for a couple of decades), so pretty much the end of his career. In the event of a Yes vote then he becomes just another Scottish politician with the main policy that brought him to attention being no longer important.
All the best

Salmond is done and dusted now, Wee Nicky Sturgeon is already putting the knife in, as above.

I doubt it, this is the last gasp of the "English oot!" brigade. The population gets less "Scotch" every year, with more English, European, Asian and Oriental immigrants who are amused or bemused by this picking at thousand year old scabs.

Or look at the recent issue of Highland councils saying no to armed rozzers on routine patrol, but the single Scotplod farce imposing them anyway because Strathclyde policy has been adopted as the de facto national one.
Scotland isn't even one nation united - there's no punch up like a local derby punch up.
Phew, just a month or so until it's all over, bar the decades of whinging about being stitched up. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
