haven't looked at many bike racing pipes...but...
If you're lucky it might have bolts or screws near the cap of the exhaust, you should be able to just unfasten them to gain access to the baffle material. Take it out. And then re-fasten the end-piece.
The other, more time consuming option, is that the 'cap' will be riveted into place. If this is the case you have to drill out the rivets in order to remove the cap to gain access to the baffle material. Once this is done you'll need to use pop-rivets (and a pop rivet gun) to re-secure the end piece back into place.
...and I guess in some cases, they're not made to be tampered with at all.
All depends what you've got though. |

If it's not obvious, then it probably won't be very straightforward...or reversible. Got any pictures of the end of the can? ____________________ TiN

I thought they were riveted in...
My dads "ART" can has like no baffels as such. Its like a straight through with a thinner pipe up the middle with LOADS of holes in, and then fiberglass around it (Jus like a giant version of a moped end can)
Is that wat all bike exhausts are like and have I jus made myself look like mr state the obvious!
