Dad just bought a new one of these (I know bcf hates new bikes but I have to admit it looks awesome).
Anyway, anybody got one? What should he look out for in terms of known issues and what are common sensible modifications?
Since his last bike was belt drive I think he is going to want a scottoiler or similar - are these easy to fit?
Also will want a tank bag - what works or doesn't work with the tank?
Thanks.

Might want to change that exhaust too, that's incredibly ugly
Why do they make all exhausts on new bikes look as nasty as that? ____________________ Yamaha MT-09

My mate has one and loves it.
The only problem he has had is an electrical connector under the seat, which is exposed to all the shite the wheel throws up, he's had to do a bodge repair with sealant. But he says they've changed the desgn now and moved the connector.
He fitted a tail tidy, but took it off as he got cover with crud when it rained. ____________________ FZ6 Fazer |

I'd buy one. ____________________ FZR400 (blown engine), ZXR750 (blown engine), ZX6R (accident), CBR600 which had engine issues after which I learned to change gear..., CBR900, CBR924 (stolen), CB600, CB1300 (everything blew up), BMW K1300GT (written off, hit from rear while stationary), Bandit 1250 for a couple of months, Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (nicked) and somewhere in there, I wrote off a Ducati 748 at Cadwell. |
