Currently got 06 Triumph Daytona 675 listed on eBay @ £3799... 26k miles in very good condition with lots of carbon, rearsets, general nice tarty bits...

Possible swap / bike plus cash deal with....

06 Triumph Sprint st1050, 13k on the clock, fsh, similar good condition from photos.. Rear panniers also included (although I'm told they're shite) £4000 Ono he's asking..

My bike plus £200?? Or straight swap? Opinions peeps...

Do you want a bike with more weight, less handling and have the urge to go touring?

If so, do it.

However, if you are wanting something sporty and 1 litre engined, look elsewhere Thumbs Up

Urge to go touring yes, weight and handling I don't think would be a major issue.. Bored of getting stuck in traffic on 675 tbh which is really killing road riding for me ATM, plus struggling with riding position on 675 unless I'm flat out...

I should also mention there's a falco near me, currently going for a measly £1200 on the bay of e, so got some thinking to do...

£3799 is too much for yours - I'm after about £3900 for mine, two years younger with a Nitron shock and 6k less miles.

I would also say that his is overpriced too. There's loads of STs about so I wouldn't put any money his way. Straight swap possibly as you both have an overinflated value of your bikes!!

The panniers aren't 'shite', they just don't hold as much as they look like they would. Still worth having, they'll do the job (and it handles better loaded up with stuff).

As much as I like my Falco there isnt that much between it and the ST. I's assume at that price the Falco probably needs a few things doing. Depending on milage maybe a complete rear bearing overhaul, shock refurb, new brake lines, valve clearances, pads, tyres etc?

As you say road's are getting more and more clogged, I'd still consider the slightly more upright and comfortable riding position + luggage carrying to be a bit better on the ST for every day riding.

Falco doest make a very capable all round bike though.

So why do you think a bigger engine bike is going to help in traffic.... Your 600 sports has more than enough poke to deal with anything on the road.

Riding position. Now that is a different matter.

The stuck in traffic is more of a prob with the riding position than the engine size, the bikes more than capable in that respect, but when your forced to sit up it takes it's tole

No, I think he means he is fed up with road riding as in, you can't go out for good fast rides anymore because there is too much traffic on the road, I don't think he literally means he is stuck in a line of traffic. So he wants to do something different be it touring or track days...

I could be talking crap however Laughing

Something like that, yes.

Heres a £3250 BIN for something that is probably slightly less tidy than yours but also less miles - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2006-TRIUMPH-DAYTONA-675-YELLOW-/301287102470?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item46261c5806

Completed listings show plenty of 06-08s that have been put on with a start price of £3500 - £4000 and haven't sold.
