There are a few Hornet owners on here who can tell you about adding preload. It's well worth the fiddle, as is adjusting tyre pressures.
Loads of pillion advice if you search the site.

Use your rear brake more than normal as there is more weight over the back wheel it is much more effective. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
