They've been using ad blocking detection software for a while now and it's getting highly annoying on ITV and 4OD.

Any other ways around it?

Ad Block Plus won't stop them but haven't tried any others?

I use ghostery, but ITV, Ch4 and 5 can detect it and won't play anything unless ghostery is disabled (meaning you either put up with the ads, or don't watch).

Have a shit browser you don't use much without adblocking etc just for those sorts of sites. I would normally recommend using XBMC with ITV/4OD plugins but I haven't used them in so long I don't know if they even work. They work just fine on the TiVo though, last I checked...

Does it work though? I don't use Firefox much these days, only for testing websites on.

ITV you can do it with the HOSTS file and it works perfectly. 4oD don't.

On 4OD I turn Adblock off, start the programme and then turn Adblock back on. I get the first ad but all the rest are blocked.
