Feel pretty shit about this.

NEARLY got involved on the safe side of a SMIDSY on my way home from work today in my car.

It was about 10PM on a 50mph road thats unlit until about 10-20 metres up from my driveway.

My driveway is on the right hand side so i slow down and start indicating, there is a car coming in the other direction with his headlights on about 150metres off. If there was a car behind me I wouldve just quickly pulled in like i always do but since it was quiet i decide to stop and let this guy pass. As I pull to a halt a fucking bike drives past with only its sidelights on.

After seeing him past I realised his tiny sidelight was completely obscured by the glare from the car that was 50 or so metres behind him.

So yeah if you happen to be on here and ride a naked bike and work at HMS Clyde (Faslane naval base). Fix your fucking headlight bulb/remember to turn your headlight on.

tldr: Nearly hit a biker riding a night with only his sidelight, felt pretty shit.

<typical BCF light thread response>Bullshit, having lights makes you harder to see and folk never look anyway but if they ever did which they never do you'd be harder to see, utter truth, LOOOOMING DAZZLE PATTERN CAMOUFLAGE RISK COMPENSATION DANGEROUSE</typical BCF light thread response>

Eh, we are hard to see, no need to feel bad about it. The rider chose that risk and created that situation, not you. Good job on not being in a hurry. Thumbs Up
