Put a bolt in the end of no.25 to seal it and remove everything leading back towards the pipe.
Race pipe won't make it any faster, stick with used OEM if you can find one. +1t on the front sprocket will make it faster JTF-1263-15, but you'll need to switch to the old style sprocket retainer 4FPE745601, and two bolts 9502206010 (Yamaha numbers) - Shouldnt cost more than around £10 all in. You can modify the late model retainer to work with the new style sprocket, but it really isn't very good and my front sprocket did actually come off after a few thousand miles, so would highly reccomend using the right part for the sake of £0.47 ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

Hi Mark,
It's a breather pipe, apparently and is not required for a functioning exhaust system. From what I have been told, it is required to comply with some Euro emission standards. I know don't know any more than that, sorry.
I looked into getting a Leo Vince for my 2010 YBR, but found it a bit too pricey. I ended up just cleaning up my original exhaust - grinding off the rust and re-spraying with UHT paint.
Hope that helps, mate. ____________________ current bike to first bike: SV650s K3, YBR125, Vespa GT125, Vespa ET4-125, Suzuki CS-50 (!!)

Number 18 is a hose clip
You need to remove all the parts between number 18 and 25, put a bolt in the end of hose number 25 and that will eliminate the system. Its fine. A garage probbably wont do it.
Its very very simple. ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

 |
|
Hi Guys,
I realise the last response to this thread was in January but was hoping one of you could help clear up an issue I'm having.
I have just ordered an after-market exhaust from a website called www.motorcycleproducts.co.uk for a 2009 model. Everything looked fine after researching the company and had prompt delivery. However, after looking closely at the exhaust I've noticed the logo reads 'YAMANA'. Is this a counterfeit product or a cheap knock-off? Will it be reliable enough to install on the bike? I can upload pics if that helps (new to this forum).
From looking more into the current ebay listings for YBR exhausts- nearly all appear to have this fake logo. Any help is much appreciated! |

No, it's probably a genuine 'YAMANA'.
If you wanted a Yamaha branded part, you get those from Yamaha.

You bought the cheapest one that you could find, right?

Is it E marked? Does it say "not for road use"? If it includes the downpipe, does it have a hole for your O2 sensor?
If yes, no and yes, I'd use it.
Bear in mind that your "Yamaha" bike is a Jianshe JS125-6 with fuel injection. I wouldn't get too fussy over branding. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Hmm. I can see YBR 125 oxygen sensors being sold, but I suppose it could be open loop.
Have you had a look at your current exhaust? Does it have an oxygen sensor or not? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
