A 1960's bullet 500 and throw a 612 conversion kit at it.
With the other six grand I'd buy a low mileage, third gen VFR750 and fit modern brakes and suspension.
With the remaining three grand I'd get something like a DR350 because I've always fancied trying some trialling.
With the remaining thousand I'd get an autocycle.
Or, if I could keep the bikes I already have. A BSA A65 and send it to SRM for one of everything. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

If I had 10k to spend on a single bike, then I`ve got to much money or the rest of the family are subsidising me .
However if I had 2k to spend on a bike , I`d be thinking WAHOO!!!!
A Kawasaki Z1000 to slow? really??

I've got the 2014 Z1000SX ABS Tourer, and I think it's a fantastic all rounder. I really cannot find fault with it.
Panniers are on and off in seconds. Without, it just looks all sports bike, no framework whatsoever. Simple but brilliant.
