hi, my ybr has been acting strange recently some days it wont start other days it will, last thing fitted was a new coil about 4 months ago
ive just cleaned the carbs out tonight as it wouldnt start all day put it back on and started first turn and ran perfect, adjust idle slightly to around 1500rpm and it was fine.
turned it off then retried and nothing dead wont kick or anything, just removed the plug and now no spark, tried an old plug and still no spark

with it being intermittent is it likely to be coil again or do i have to search the loom for something or could it be the cdi unit.
I have had a couple of issues with the ignition barrel recently but everything seems to light up as normal when turned on

thanks
keith

Worn ignition barrel contacts have been known to cause this type of problem in the past.
The lighting contacts and ignition contacts inside the unit are separate, so it's possible to have a feed to the lights but not to the CDI.

Try turning the ignition on/off and also wiggling the key to move the barrel about and then check for a spark.
